Outer vs Inner Border
- Outer border: expands a frame outside the image, keeping the content intact while enlarging the canvas.
- Inner border: drawn on the inner edge of the image, covering the outermost pixels, so the canvas size stays the same.
- Canvas change: an outer border increases the output size, while an inner border keeps the original size.
- Which to choose: use an outer border to keep the full picture; use an inner border to add a frame inside the image without affecting layout.
- Batch consistency: once batch mode is on, the current border type and options apply to all images.

Common browser-decodable formats such as JPG, PNG, WebP are supported; the output is PNG.
The width of each side can be set individually, ranging from 0 to 2000 pixels, adjustable as needed.
Yes. The inner border is drawn on the outermost ring of the image, and the larger the width, the more it covers. To keep the full picture, use an outer border.
Yes. After enabling the Batch Process switch, the border settings applied to the current image will apply to all images; click "Download All" to get the ZIP.
Images are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to any server, so you can use it with confidence.
The border color is painted on the transparent area; with an opaque color the border becomes solid while the original transparent area stays transparent.
Yes. The color picker defaults to solid colors, but you can adjust the opacity directly in the color panel for a semi-transparent border effect.
Output is lossless PNG; an outer border usually grows slightly because the canvas is larger, while an inner border keeps the size mostly unchanged.
The current version uses one shared border color for all four sides and does not yet support per-side coloring.
Yes. The tool is responsive, so mobile browsers can also upload, configure and download.
No. An outer border only expands the canvas around the edges, so the original pixels are fully preserved with no compression.
Common sizes are supported; very large images are limited by browser memory, so we recommend keeping each image under tens of MB for a smooth experience.
