The following shows the conversion relationships between common time units, with second (s) as the base unit:
| Unit Name | Abbr | Conversion | Equivalent Seconds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nanosecond | ns | 1 ns = 10⁻⁹ s | 0.000000001 |
| Microsecond | μs | 1 μs = 10⁻⁶ s | 0.000001 |
| Millisecond | ms | 1 ms = 10⁻³ s | 0.001 |
| Second | s | Base unit | 1 |
| Minute | min | 1 min = 60 s | 60 |
| Hour | h | 1 h = 3,600 s | 3,600 |
| Day | d | 1 d = 86,400 s | 86,400 |
| Week | week | 1 week = 604,800 s | 604,800 |
| Month | month | 1 month = 30.44 d | 2,629,746 |
| Year | year | 1 year = 365.25 d | 31,557,600 |
Since months have varying numbers of days (28/29/30/31) and leap years affect the length of a year, this tool uses the following average values for calculation:
1 month = 30.44 days (365.25 ÷ 12 ≈ 30.44 days), 1 year = 365.25 days (accounting for leap years, one leap year every 4 years). Note: These values are estimates and are not suitable for precise date calculations. If you need exact date difference calculations, please use a dedicated date calculation tool.
1 second (s) = 1,000 milliseconds (ms), i.e. 1 s = 10³ ms. Similarly, 1 millisecond = 1,000 microseconds (μs), and 1 microsecond = 1,000 nanoseconds (ns). These three units all follow a 1,000× conversion relationship.
1 day = 86,400 seconds. Calculation: 24 × 60 × 60 = 86,400. To find out how many milliseconds are in a day: 86,400 × 1,000 = 86,400,000 milliseconds.
Since the number of days in months and years is not fixed, this tool uses average values: 1 month = 30.44 days (365.25 ÷ 12), 1 year = 365.25 days (including leap year average). This conversion is suitable for estimation scenarios but not for precise date calculations (such as calculating the exact number of days between two specific dates).
This tool supports any size of numerical input, from extremely small (e.g. 0.000001 ns) to extremely large (e.g. billions of years). JavaScript's double-precision floating-point numbers are sufficient for everyday use cases, and results are automatically formatted with thousand separators for readability.
No. All conversion calculations run entirely in your browser using pure JavaScript math. Your input data never leaves your device.
This tool uses JavaScript double-precision floating-point numbers (64-bit IEEE 754) for calculations, which is sufficiently accurate for the vast majority of everyday scenarios. Decimal portions are capped at 6 significant decimal places, and excessively long decimals are automatically truncated. For extremely large or small values (e.g. at the nanosecond level), there may be minor errors due to floating-point precision limitations, but this has virtually no practical impact.
10 units in total. Including nanosecond (ns), microsecond (μs), millisecond (ms), second (s), minute (min), hour (h), day (d), week, month, and year. Enter any unit and convert to all the others at once.
1 hour = 60 minutes, 1 minute = 60 seconds. This is a fixed base-60 relationship: multiply by 60 to go from hours to minutes, divide by 60 to go back. The tool has these factors built in and applies them automatically.
Average values are used for estimation. Because months vary in length and leap years exist, the tool uses 1 month = 30.44 days and 1 year = 365.25 days (including leap-year average). The result is an estimate and not suitable for precise date differences — use a date calculator for that.
Batch input is not supported yet. This tool converts a single value in real time. Enter one value at a time to see all unit results. For large datasets, convert values one by one or organize exported results.
Mobile works and no registration is needed. The page is responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktops; just open it to use directly — no login or payment required.
More worry-free. Unlike writing time conversion formulas in Excel, this tool automatically lists results for all 10 units, so you don't need to memorize base-60 or average coefficients, and won't make formula errors.
